How we work
At Quinkin Farm Allied Health Services we believe every family deserves care that understands their needs, and every child deserves support that is timely, coordinated, and built around who they are.
Our Keyworker Transdisciplinary Model brings together specialists - including Occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapist, early childhood educators, behaviour practitioners, sand tray therapist, and allied health assistants- under one coordinated approach.
Families are supported by a single Keyworker who knows their child and coordinates input from the entire team, ensuring consistency and a plan that reflects the whole child not just one part of them.
We also use the All- Through One Model, designed especially for regional and rural communities. This model delivers high-quality person-centered, play-based therapy where families live- reducing wait times, travel costs, and service duplication. Through trusted partnerships with providers like You-nique Therapies, Haven Occupational Therapy, and Flourish Speech Pathology. We offer seamless access to keyworker support, therapy, developmental play, and allied health assistance, including through telehealth when needed.
Our approach is rooted in evidence, lived experience, and community partnership. We work alongside families, educators, and service providers to make sure every child can reach their potential. When everyone is on the same page, children move forward faster, and families feel confident and supported
Our services
-
At Quinkin Farm allied Health Services our Keyworker Model is designed to make support simpler, more coordinated, and truly family-centered. Rather than working with multiple professionals separately, your family is supported by one main Keyworker who becomes your consistent point of contact and partner in your child’s development.
Your Keyworker takes the time to understand your child’s strengths, goals and daily routines. They coordinate input from a wider allied health team - including occupational therapist, speech pathologist, physiotherpists, early childhood educators, and behaviour practitoners- to ensure every aspect of your child’s care works together smoothly.
Our Keyworker services are especially valuable to families navigating the NDIS, as they bring together all supports under one coordinated framework- saving time, reducing stress, and helping your child reach their full potential.

At Quinkin Farm Allied Health Services, our physiotherapy service is delivered by highly skilled physiotherapists with extensive experience supporting children and their families. With strong foundations in child development, functional movement, and neurosequential learning, our physiotherapists understand how physical development connects with a child’s overall regulation, engagement, and wellbeing.
We take a holistic, whole-child approach — looking at multiple body systems to understand how a child’s overall health influences motor skill development. Rather than viewing movement in isolation, our physiotherapists assess how neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and sensory systems work together. We carefully evaluate muscle tone, strength, joint alignment, posture, balance, coordination, endurance, reflex integration, and movement patterns to gain a comprehensive understanding of each child’s physical abilities.
Using play-based, goal-focused approaches, our physiotherapy sessions are designed to feel natural, engaging, and motivating. We support children to develop foundational gross motor skills such as rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking, as well as more advanced skills including running, jumping, stair negotiation, ball skills, playground participation, and building endurance for everyday activities. Our focus is always on helping children move safely, efficiently, and confidently in their daily environments.
We work closely with families, educators, and your Keyworker to ensure therapy goals are meaningful, practical, and easily embedded into everyday routines across home, school, and community settings. Where appropriate, our physiotherapists provide guidance on positioning strategies, equipment recommendations, orthotics, and individualised home programs to further support progress and independence.
With compassionate support and evidence-informed practice, our physiotherapy service empowers children to build strength, mobility, coordination, and confidence from the inside out — helping them progress at their own pace and participate more fully in learning, play, and community life.

At Quinkin Farm Allied Health Services, our hydrotherapy program is delivered by our experienced physiotherapist and uses the therapeutic benefits of warm water to support children’s strength, movement, regulation, and overall physical confidence. Grounded in child development, functional movement, and neurosequential learning principles, hydrotherapy provides a safe, engaging environment where children can build skills in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.
Warm water offers unique therapeutic properties that support multiple body systems simultaneously. The buoyancy of water reduces pressure on joints and allows greater freedom of movement, while gentle resistance promotes muscle strengthening, endurance, and motor control. The warmth of the water can also assist with muscle relaxation, circulation, sensory regulation, and pain reduction — creating an ideal environment for skill development.
Through play-based, goal-focused activities, children work on balance, coordination, core stability, postural control, walking patterns, and overall functional movement skills. Hydrotherapy can support foundational gross motor skills as well as more advanced movement patterns, particularly for children who may find these tasks challenging on land.
Hydrotherapy is especially beneficial for children experiencing pain, stiffness, developmental delays, neurological conditions, disabilities, or reduced mobility. The supportive nature of water allows children to explore new movements safely, build physical capacity, and experience success — often achieving movements in the pool that may not yet be possible on land.
Our physiotherapist works closely with families, educators, and your Keyworker to ensure hydrotherapy goals align with your child’s broader development plan. This collaborative approach creates continuity between hydrotherapy, land-based physiotherapy, and everyday routines at home, school, and within the community.
With compassionate guidance and evidence-informed practice, hydrotherapy offers a supportive and motivating pathway for children to strengthen their bodies, build confidence, and participate more fully in movement experiences — all while having fun in the water.

At Quinkin Farm Allied Health Services, our Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) play an essential role in supporting children and their families to achieve consistent and meaningful progress. Working closely within your child’s therapy team, AHAs help children practise, consolidate, and build upon the skills introduced during formal therapy sessions.
Under the supervision and guidance of qualified professionals — including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Early Childhood Specialists, and Psychologists — our AHAs deliver structured, goal-directed sessions that reinforce individual therapy and learning plans. This collaborative approach ensures strategies remain aligned with your child’s overall developmental and wellbeing goals while maintaining professional oversight and quality of care.
AHA sessions are practical, engaging, and hands-on. They focus on embedding therapy strategies into everyday routines across home, school, clinic, and community environments. By practising skills in familiar and meaningful settings, children are better able to generalise their learning, strengthen independence, and build confidence in real-life situations.
AHAs may support the development of motor coordination, communication skills, emotional regulation, daily living skills, social participation, early learning outcomes, and behavioural strategies — depending on your child’s individual plan. Their consistent involvement helps bridge the gap between formal therapy appointments, allowing progress to continue in a structured yet flexible way.
In addition to promoting continuity of care, AHA services can make therapy supports more accessible and cost-effective, particularly for families accessing NDIS funding. This model enables children to receive regular, high-quality support while maximising the value of their therapy plans.
With encouragement, consistency, and compassionate guidance, our Allied Health Assistants help make support continuous, practical, and personalised — empowering each child to reach their goals step by step.
